The Tafarki Scholar

The Tafarki Scholars are a group of people who harness local resources so as to meet the challenges of underdeveloped societies. 

They are called Tafarki Scholars after the late Mr. Tafarki Kudaru.

Mr. Tafarki Kudaru believed, that;

  • No solution will last unless it is harnessed within the indigenous society.

The purpose of the Tafarki Scholar is to;

  • promotes this belief through various projects.

The Tafarki Scholars ask global questions and seek local answers. 

Poverty and its consequences are global questions.

The Tafarki Scholar seeks local answers to these questions.

The Tafarki Foundation will hand out its second scholarship in 2007-2008 in 5 African countries.

Those interested can begin to apply  latest will be available March 10, 2006.
